Guidelines for Prospective Authors


NIGERIAN JOURNAL OF FARM MANAGEMENT

The Journal of the Farm Management Association of Nigeria

The Nigerian Journal of Farm Management is a refereed journal.

The Nigerian Journal of Farm Management covers all areas of farm management, rural development, sustainable agriculture, management of the environments, development finance and other areas of research relevance and interest To the agricultural sector in Nigeria. The Journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. 

The Nigerian Journal of Farm Management (ISBN-9782607-002) is published twice a year by the Farm Management Association of Nigeria, a body comprising academics, technocrats, policy formulators and implementers, farmers and farmer advocacy groups

Instructions for Authors

The Nigerian Journal of Farm Management welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. 
Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that the text, tables, and figures are included in a single Microsoft Word file (preferably in Times New Roman font).
Submit manuscripts as e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at: kolawole_adebayo@hotmail.com . Acknowledgement of receipt will be mailed to the author under 72 hours of receipt.
The cover letter should include the corresponding author's full address and telephone/fax numbers and should be in an e-mail message sent to the Editor, with the file, whose name should begin with the first author's surname, as an attachment.
The Nigerian Journal of Farm Management will only accept manuscripts submitted as e-mail attachments.

 

Preparation of the text

 

Cover page: the cover letter should include the full title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s) and their institutional affiliation(s), a running title of not more than 75 letters and spaces and an abstract of not more than 250 words. The full contact details of the author who will be responsible for correspondence and correcting of proofs should be supplied thereafter viz full name, complete institutional address, email address, fax and phone number.







References: The Harvard/APA method of referencing should be used, in the form name(s) of the author(s), year of publication, e.g., (Author, 2005). The references should be in alphabetical and then chronological order in the reference list at the end of the contribution. The reference list should include every work cited in the text. Please ensure that dates, spellings and titles used in the text are consistent with those listed in the References. The content and form of the reference list should conform to the examples below. Please note that page numbers are required for articles and both place of publication and publisher are required for books cited. Do not use et al. in the reference list: spell out each author's full name or surname and initials.
